HAPPY COUPLE
One October fall day in 2010 at The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, in dormitory Galloway , on floor 5, Corey asked Jordan to be his girlfriend. From freshmen year of college to graduating seniors Corey and Jordan enjoyed college life as a couple.
THE GROOM
Corey was born in Frederick, MD. The oldest of three children and the only boy. He settled in Raleigh as a rising sophomore in high school at Wakefield High. Corey attended UNC-Wilmington, double majoring in Operations Management and Entrepreneurship. He currently works for Coty, Inc. in Sanford, NC as a Senior Logistics Inventory Analyst. He loves his job almost as much as his fiance!
THE BRIDE
Jordan was born in Denver, CO. She is the youngest of three children (and is known as 'the favorite'). She settled in Mooresville, NC as a first grader, eventually graduating from Lake Norman High school. Jordan attended college at UNC-Wilmington and completed her degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Digital Arts. Jordan now resides in Raleigh and is happily teaching second graders at Willow Springs Elementary.
OUR STORY
Corey & Jordan began their journey early freshman year at University of North Carolina-Wilmington and their love has continued to grow throughout the years. After seven years of dating they are excited to take their romance to the altar!
WE FIRST MET
Our first encounter was at the UNCW Galloway Hall co-ed dormatory. Ironically, we lived down the same hallway on the fifth floor--boys dorms on one end and girls on the other. (The co-ed living quarters were not approved by the father of the bride, but tolerated.)
OUR FIRST DATE
Our first date was a night of bowling and dining at Chili's. The perfect date for Jordan to beat Corey at yet another sport--althought the couple is not skilled at bowling, their scores stayed under 100. It is still their 'go-to' date today (bumpers for Jordan, of course)!
DATING SEASON
There was talk amongst the dorm floor about how Corey felt about Jordan. He justified the rumors by telling her, "Jordan, I like you like a sister." Realizing his 'like' was a little different than a sister and on October 17th, Corey asked Jordan to be his girlfirend with a silly band ring and teddy bear.
HE PROPOSED
In 2017, Jordan (and Corey, secretly) much anticipated awaiting the couples next big step...putting a ring on it! With each event or date Jordan questioned whether 'this' would be that special day!
A trip to Biltmore Estates in Asheville was planned for Corey's birthday with their families. Jordan was suspicious, but not sold on it being the big day.
During the visit, after touring the estate and enjoying a long lunch, she was settled into the idea of a simple birthday celebration for Corey. A walk along the scenic Biltmore Garden patio and gazebo brought many great photo opps from their day. After one of their favorite couple poses, taken with Jordan jumping on Corey's back, Corey suggests, "Now let me get on your back!". As Jordan squatted to hold Corey on her back, there was an awkward silence and--after waiting a few moments--Jordan peeked over her shoulder to see Corey bent on one knee. Tears flowing, Jordan finally turned around to hear Corey's beautiful message and proposal...only hearing 'Will you marry me!?" In shock, Jordan replied, "No freakin' way!" and after a long pause (while Corey's heart dropped), Jordan yelled, "Of, course!".
Now, happily engaged, we are awaiting our big day in April 2018!
